Event Schedule
On Saturday April 7 Jan will speak at the San Antonio Book Festival on a panel with fellow novelists Elizabeth Crook and Stephen Stefan Merrill Block and moderator Blair Labatt from 2:30 to 3:30 at the Central Library, 600 Soledad. Jan and his peers will be signing copies of their new books immediately afterward.
Later that evening Jan will receive the Jesse H. Jones 2018 Award for best fiction at the annual ceremony and banquet of the Texas Institute of Letters at the Menger Hotel.
On June 14 Jan will read from his work at the "Why There Are Words" event in Sausalito, California. Jan earlier appeared at "Why There Are Words" with his Sins of the Younger Sons at the Malvern book store in Austin. Founded in Sausalito, "Why There Are Words" now enriches American letters in six cities throughout the country.
The weekend of June 22-24 Jan will present his new novel along with the company of and new titles from his friends Lonn Taylor, David Langford, and James Hawes in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
